"I have been associated with Kid Safe House Queensland, in my role as an Early Childhood teacher of Certificate 111 in Early Childhood Education and Care.
I have visited for many years, with every child care student who has studied our course at The Asian Pacific Institute and previously with TAFE Queensland students.
The visit helps our students at API, who often have English as a second language, to gain understanding about the current Australian Standards for safety in child care and the home.
The presenters are approachable, respectful of the individual needs of the students and ensure that the sessions are balanced with discussion, audio visual and real life displays.
I am impressed with the consistent high quality of the sessions and the fact that the trainers ask for feedback to ensure that the sessions remain relevant for the students and closely linked to the classroom training.
I am happy to recommend this session to any training organisation and believe that it should be mandatory for all those who work with or associate with children.
Self-guided tours are also available free of charge and staff are on hand to help with any queries time permitting.
