KEEPING QUEENSLAND KIDS SAFE
Kidsafe Qld’s mission is to reduce childhood accident rates by raising awareness of injury trends and providing practical, evidence-based injury prevention strategies and services to keep kids safe at home, on the road and at play.
Tragically, 75 Queensland children die annually from unintentional injury. Additionally, there are more than 16,000 hospitalisations and over 92,000 visits to the Emergency department.
Statistically most childhood injuries occur in the family home.
Kidsafe Qld stocks a range of home safety products to help you keep one step ahead. Products like the Mickey Haha, an easy to install cover to keep power plugs away from little fingers.
Kidsafe Qld offers an independent playground inspection service, suitable for playgrounds operated by councils, private businesses, schools and child care centres.

A well thought out play space allows kids to grow and develop key skills. Knowing this, we can plan and design play spaces with different plants and gardens to nurture children’s development, creativity, and imagination. A simple way to achieve this is by planting trees and shrubs. However, before planting anything, ensure that plants are suitable for the space.
