PLAYGROUND INSPECTION SERVICES
In accordance with national guidelines, all public operators of playgrounds are recommended to undertake comprehensive inspections on an annual basis. This is the most stringent level of inspection available and is suitable for all play facilities from public operators such as councils, schools, play centres and child care centres.

Can anyone do a comprehensive inspection of a playground?
No. Only an accredited playground inspector trained in compliance with Australian Standards can complete an Annual Comprehensive or Post Installation Comprehensive inspection.Â
What are my options for playground inspections?
Kidsafe QLD offers two options:
- Engage us to conduct your annual comprehensive inspection and we can provide a report with a strong focus on compliance to relevant Australian standards, best practice guides, workplace health and safety requirements and safety generally.
- Train your staff to do routine visual inspections, right through to operational inspections with our playground inspection training courses.
How much does a comprehensive playground inspection cost?
The cost of inspection starts at $825 including GST and Drop Testing costs $434.50 including GST per playground. For multiple playgrounds at the one site, the cost is $825 inc GST for the first playground and $385 inc GST for each other playground. For a specific quote, call Shane on 3854 1829.
